Social media is often the bane of our work – it’s often a huge distraction, and most people end up not being able to work because the allure of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other social networking websites are so strong. The internet is a huge rabbit hole, believe me, and social networking sites just makes things even worse.
However, we can use the exact thing that makes social networks so awesome – the degree with which people can easily get addicted to it – and utilize it for your gain! Have you ever thought about using a social network to build your brand awareness?
That’s right – you can just go and create a Facebook page and Twitter account and promote the heck out of your company, brand or product. Make sure you get critical mass in getting likes and follows, though – just because you have a Facebook page and a Twitter account doesn’t mean that you are going to get fans. You have to actively promote your social networking sites. It’s going to be tedious work, but I bet it’ll be better than submitting your site to some Australia business directory, right?
Make sure that your social networking accounts have your domains on them, by the way. You need to be able to get people to find your site without any problem at all.
Anyway, this is how you get started in using social media for your brand-building needs. What else do you think needs to be done?
