In my previous post, I presented some ideas on how you can save when planning a business trip. I am not done yet. Here are more tips which can help you cut business travel costs down to a minimum.
Try to be flexible with your dates.
If you are a seasoned traveler, you would know that certain airlines have specific days of the week wherein the airplane tickets are considerably lower than other days. It depends on the airline but my favorite budget airline always has lower fares on Wednesdays and Thursdays. As such, I make it a point to schedule my essential trips around these days. You might want to check out the different airlines flying to and from your city for similar patterns.
Try to be flexible with airports.
While major hubs offer the best when it comes to amenities and convenience, it will not hurt you to fly to a less crowded airport. Alternative airports have lower fees for the airlines and as such, the airlines can charge lower fares. If there are alternative airports which you can fly into, why not see if it can save you money?
Business class is not always expensive.
At least if you look at it from another perspective. The fact is that many airlines are lowering their business class prices and offering more perks as well. This is due to many travelers downgrading their tickets from business class to economy. If you can still afford business class, then you might want to consider it as well.
